What is mesotherapy?
Mesotherapy is a technique and not a specific type of treatment. This technique can be used for different kinds of problems.
It is used for procedures such as: improvement of skin texture, wrinkles, local thickness, scars, cellulite, hair loss and for various others.
It is called mesotherapy because it consists of injecting substances into the mesoderm, i.e. the connective tissue, which is under the skin.
How is it possible?
The doctor or beautician uses a small syringe with a very fine needle, with which he makes multiple injections in the area concerned. Because the needle is very fine, the degree of pain is minimal. It feels like a light sting. In some places it may not be felt at all. In each pinch the operator deposits a very small amount of the material.
Where is it used?
It is used in many processes. The depth of placement of the material varies according to the area of application. The two main applications of mesotherapy are to improve the texture of the facial skin on the one hand and to treat cellulite on the other.
Of course, mesotherapy can also be applied in many other cases, such as stretch marks, hair loss, wrinkle correction, etc.
To improve the texture of the face, it is usually aimed at skins that have been dehydrated and have fine wrinkles.
Also, in recent years, it has been used successfully in many cases of hyperpigmentation (pigmentation) and in combination with other treatments, such as Microdermabrasion, it has impressive and long-term results.
As for the rest of the body, mesotherapy can now treat any problem, whether in fat or skin relaxation. In the case of cellulite, it helps both in those cases where there is swelling and in those cases where the cellulite is purely fatty. The frequency and number of sessions is determined by the Dermatologist in charge.
In addition to cellulite, it is also used for liposuction in areas such as the abdomen (with doctor-only sessions), buttocks, thighs and arms, as well as tightening of all of the above. It is perfectly combined with other liposculpting and body tightening techniques, with safe and long-term results.
