What is a Microneedling Pen?
Its original concept started in 1995, but in 2006 it was officially registered as microneedling. It is known as the “collagen induction therapy”. The idea is based on the process of physical trauma from the penetration of microneedles. It has been observed that the trauma caused by sterile needles causes regeneration of the skin.
How does it work;
The needles penetrate the skin creating small channels with minimal damage to the skin. We are automatically led to the stage where the skin itself regenerates the growth and creation factors of the skin, such as elastin, collagen, etc. This natural restoration, a healing process induced causes the platelets and neutrophils to release growth factors (TGF-alpha, TGF-beta and PDGF-platelet derived growth factors). This results in the deposition of collagen in the fibroblasts, after we have disconnected the bonds-strands of collagen that existed with the necessity to produce new stronger ones.
What does it offer?
Repetitive perforation of the skin at 100/sec. strokes creates several thousands of micro passages, which make the skin capable of complete absorption of therapeutic substances along the thick stratum corneum. For maximum results it is ideally combined with PRP treatment.
This adjuvant therapy is indicated for enhanced administration of substances in a variety of lesions such as:
- fine lines and wrinkles,
- open pores,
- skin uniformity,
- atrophic scars,
- acne lesions,
- alopecia,
- actinic hyperkeratosis,
- discolorations
- prevention for skin firmness and tightening.
Today the microneedling treatment is extremely effective and suitable even for a simple renewal of our face.
